Getting Started with Your Custom Project

The best way to begin your project with Furniture Design Gallery is by sharing a few key details that help us understand your space, your style, and your vision from the start. The more information you can provide upfront, the more accurately and efficiently we can guide you through the design process.

To get started, we ask that you include the following:

  • A photo of the space – This helps us visualize the layout, surroundings, and any design considerations.

  • Dimensions of the area – Basic measurements allow us to begin planning scale, proportions, and functionality.

  • Inspiration images – Whether it’s something you’ve seen online or a past project of ours, this gives us insight into your preferred style and features.

With these details, our team can begin developing ideas tailored specifically to your project and provide meaningful feedback right away. From there, we’ll walk you through the next steps, refining the design and bringing your vision to life with the craftsmanship and attention to detail we’re known for.

To begin your project, we invite you to share a few essential details that will help us understand your vision: a photograph of the space, its specific dimensions, and an inspiration image that reflects your desired style and functionality.

Once we have reviewed these preliminary details, the next stage of our process is a professional design consultation with our designer, Daniel. We offer the flexibility of meeting in person at our showroom or connecting virtually via Google Meet. Following this collaborative session, we typically provide a comprehensive, detailed drawing and a formal project estimate—all at no obligation to you.

Design

Once you decide to proceed with the project, you will get the opportunity to select the color, hardware, door style, crown and other design options. If you have met with Daniel in our showroom, field measurements would be completed at your home (if required). Once all the options have been selected and the deposit is received, shop drawings are completed for the manufacturing process to begin. Our typical production time runs between 5-7 weeks usually.

Manufacturing and Installation

Our manufacturing process is designed for precision, as your project moves through specialized stations where dedicated craftsmen focus on every key component. Once your piece nears completion, it undergoes a rigorous final inspection before Sarah or Daniel coordinates your delivery and installation.

Our professional in-house installation team handles the final stage with efficiency, typically completing the process in just a few hours. While we fully master-build your project in our shop, the final assembly takes place directly in your home to ensure a perfect fit. To ensure a seamless experience, we simply ask that the area be cleared prior to our arrival so our team can efficiently install your new custom-built furniture.
